Our Ministries

DEACON'S MINISTRY The Deacon's Ministry is a ministry of service and spiritual support to the pastor and congregation. The Deacons assist with maintaining the spiritual wellness of the Church by preserving harmony and unity and encouraging all to follow the pastoral vision and direction. “Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.” Acts 6:3
FITNESS MINISTRY Mount Zion Crosstrainers is a faith-based total fitness ministry. For the past 32 years, its focus has been on equipping participants with keys to wellness. “Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers.” 3 John 1:2 
KITCHEN MINISTRY This ministry provides and prepares meals for fellowship dinners, funerals, and special occasions. “And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give:” Luke 10:7
MEMBER CARE MINISTRY This ministry is responsible for ensuring that the Church meets the care needs of all members and families who may be in the process of healing. This auxiliary covers the following areas: Cross Trainers, Music, and Visitation. “Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that are with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.” Exodus 18:18
MEN'S MINISTRY This ministry encourages men to accept their God-given role and responsibility as spiritual leaders in their homes, churches, communities, and work environments. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17
TRUSTEES MINISTRY This ministry cares for and maintains the Church facilities and properties.​ “And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.” Matthew 20:27
OUTREACH MINISTRY This ministry assists those in need so that God's love may be demonstrated through us and will draw people closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Outreach ministries go as follows: Missionary Federation - Prison Outreach “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, ‘Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?” James 2:14-16 USHER MINISTRY This ministry serves to welcome, seat, and meet the needs of the Congregation and all visitors with a loving, friendly, Christ-like attitude and disposition. The auxiliaries of the Usher ministry goes as follows: Griffin Penn Ushers, Ladies Auxillary Usher Board, Men's Usher Board, Youth Usher Board “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10
WOMEN'S MINISTRY This ministry is committed to helping the women of our church and community to develop spiritually, physically, and emotionally to better fulfill God's purpose in our lives.  “And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; that ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.” Philippians 1:9-10  FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TEAM MINISTRY This ministry collects and funds and prepares financial reports.  “Offer right sacrifices and trust in the Lord”. Psalm 4:5
YOUTH MINISTRY This ministry focuses on the spiritual, mental, emotional, social and physical needs of our young people through a Christ-like approach in a wholesome atmosphere. Our youth ministry has the following auxiliaries: Children's Church, Just Lead, Nursery and the Youth Department “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth,” Ecclesiastes 12:
